Nürburgring announces dates for 2024 tourist drives

03.01.2024

Anyone can drive their own car or motorcycle around the world's most famous race track in 2024. The Nürburgring has announced the dates for next year's tourist drives. The barriers will open for the first time on Sunday, March 17 and the first highlight will follow just two weeks later with the Easter weekend. Also on the calendar: the Green Hell Driving Days, which allow drivers to drive on the legendary Nordschleife for several days in a row in May and October. There are also evening events on the Grand Prix Track with particularly long opening hours until 8:45 pm. > All dates & open hours From mid-March to mid-November, tourist drivers can look forward to many dates in 2024. And the Easter weekend is the highlight of the first month, with all-day opening hours on the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix Track, four days in a row, from Good Friday to Easter Monday. After that, the Nordschleife opens almost every day for those who want to take the track under their own wheels, while the Grand Prix Track opens on selected evening dates. On some days even until 20:45. The rules for a ride as part of the tourist rides are very simple: in principle, anyone in possession of a driving license and an approved, roadworthy car or motorcycle can drive on the Grand Prix Track or Nordschleife. The rules of the road traffic regulations apply, including the right-hand driving rule. Overtaking is therefore only permitted on the left. A stopwatch is also not allowed to run while driving. These rules define the tourist drives as a driving offer for everyone and clearly distinguish them from racing events. Green Hell Driving Days in May and October - simply top up your credit onlineAmong the numerous dates and weekends, those opening times that offer driving fun over several whole days are particularly popular. All dates for 2024 can be found on the Nürburgring website. Here you can also top up your credit for the tourist rides with your own customer account. A lap of the Nordschleife costs 30 euros from Monday to Thursday and 35 euros from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. The 15-minute stint on the Grand Prix Track is also available for 35 euros, regardless of the day of the week. Anyone looking for unlimited driving pleasure is well advised to buy a season card. Job fair at the Nürburgring doubles exhibitors and visitors

05.11.2023

For two days, the focus was on career opportunities at the Nürburgring. 60 companies took the opportunity to present their wide range of jobs at the "Job Fair powered by Nürburgring". There was a great deal of interest: over 2,000 school pupils, skilled workers and potential career changers came to the ring°arena. After the Nürburgring doubled the number of exhibitors and visitors at the second edition of the job fair, it is already clear that there will be another one in 2024. Nürburgring. In addition to information about the various jobs, the companies also had various activities to offer at the stand. For example, visitors were able to try their hand at tapping slate slabs, estimate the weight of gravel in an excavator shovel, take a spin in the driving simulator or hunt for goals in a game of table football. "We are delighted with the positive development of the trade fair and the variety of companies exhibiting here. It is a great confirmation of the professional organization of our project team, of the Nürburgring as a central attraction in the region and beyond, and of the versatility of our event location, which is also a successful venue for indoor events regardless of the weather," explains Nürburgring Managing Director Christian Stephani. Together with the District Administrator of the Ahrweiler district, Cornelia Weigand, he gained a comprehensive impression of the exhibitors and visitors during a tour of the fair. Several schools were also involved in the job fair this year. They came to the legendary race track with selected classes so that future career starters could obtain comprehensive information. Over 600 pupils from BBS Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Grund- und Realschule plus St. Martin from Kelberg, Hocheifel Realschule Plus from Adenau and St. Thomas Realschule plus from Andernach took part. After the successful second edition of the "Job Fair powered by Nürburgring", it is already clear that the next edition will take place at the Nürburgring in 2024.  Outlook: Cheerleaders, karate fighters and darts pros to follow in the ring°arenaThe indoor program at the Nürburgring will continue unabated in the coming weeks. The next event on the program in the ring°arena is the cheerleading national championship. Around 400 athletes will be competing on December 2. At the beginning of next year, the karate event "International Rhine Shiai" will take place over three days at the same location. More than 1,000 participants from all over the world will compete in competitions, training and randori. And on March 16, an Ally Pally-like atmosphere awaits when the darts pros once again do the honors at the Nürburgring. Other indoor highlights include the comedy format NightWash live (25.11.23 | in the ring°werk motorsport experience museum) and Mo-Torres unplugged (08.12.23 | in the ring°kino).  Comments on the "Job Fair powered by Nürburgring" Marcus Hartmüller, insurance and finance specialist | Deutsche Vermögensberatung"We at Deutsche Vermögensberatung are a team of motorsport enthusiasts and that alone makes the Nürburgring the perfect place for us to be at the job fair. We also represent our company motto "People need people" here and, with this in mind, have had some interesting discussions - with the students, who have shown more interest in our job offers than we would have expected, and also with many visitors who are looking for a career change." Ulrich Goliarsch, Head of DLZ Testing and Measurement Service Eschborn | Federal Network Agency"The Nürburgring is an internationally renowned magnet for visitors and we are familiar with the location as part of our event management. That's why we like to present ourselves as an employer here, especially as we have one of six central locations in the immediate vicinity, in Bonn, and also have 46 locations throughout Germany with a wide variety of job offers." Tanja Krämer, Marketing | Krämer Bau GmbH"We present ourselves as a regional, medium-sized company at the Nürburgring, as we have our main catchment area for employees in the Eifel region. We had many interesting conversations with schoolchildren and interested visitors, to whom we were able to present the range of our work. Many were surprised at how varied the job profiles in civil engineering are." Nicki Raeder, Managing Director | Manthey Racing GmbH"At the job fair at the Nürburgring, we also want to appeal to people who are not directly looking for a racing team - with around 300 employees, we have a much larger portfolio. The proximity of the Nürburgring to our location is of course perfect for us, because we primarily want to inspire people from the Eifel region to work at Manthey. Our experience is that people who identify with the region are happy to work and stay here." Constanze Wiesner, Head of Human Resources | Griesemann Group"In general, job fairs are an excellent tool for us to recruit new trainees, engineers or technical/industrial employees in plant engineering. In addition, as a growing and stable company, the Griesemann Group is always on the lookout for inspiring people who can help drive the company and its future-oriented innovations forward. We feel particularly emotionally connected to the job fair at the Nürburgring due to our involvement in motorsport."
